Therapy
Gender is rarely the only thing a young person is carrying. Sometimes it isn't even the heaviest.
People often find me because of gender-related issues, but many are navigating other challenges too. I take each client's lead while working to understand what other struggles may be complicating their sense of their gender or negatively impacting their well-being. If other concerns emerge, I am committed to spending as much time as necessary working through them together.

My approach is eclectic and highly individualized depending on each client's presenting concerns.
Some of the models I draw from most regularly include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Getting started.
The best way to determine if you would like to work together is to schedule an initial consultation.
Parent Consultation
Most families begin with a 55-minute parent consultation, before deciding on next steps. It's a chance to give context, answer questions, and talk through what makes sense from there. This can also be a standalone session.
Client Consultation
Sometimes, it's beneficial for me to meet independently with clients. This is an opportunity for them to ask me any questions they might have and to see whether I am someone they would feel comfortable talking to.
